THIS LISTING IS FOR A USED AMP IN GREAT CONDITION AND PERFECT WORKING ORDER WITH ALL ORIGINAL BOXES AND MATERIALS! THIS UNIT WAS ORIGINALLY BOUGHT FROM US IN 2017 AND HAS BEEN VERY WELL TAKEN CARE OF BY ONE OWNER. A FANTASTIC PIECE FOR THE PRICE!
Innovative clean power technologies and custom components within our stereo power amplifiers are what have propelled the Chord SPM series to legendary status in and outside the recording studio. Their ability to instantaneously react and deliver sheer power, whilst maintaining transparency and incredibly low distortion leaves you with nothing but a masterpiece.
The SPM 5000 MkII is our range-topping stereo power amplifier and our most powerful stereo amplifier to date. Featuring double-height dimensions, the amp was conceived due to demand for a larger stereo power amplifier. Using the latest low-distortion amplifier circuitry with our own proprietary lateral structure dual-die MOSFETs, naturally, the SPM5000 Mk II is able to drive extremely difficult loudspeaker loads with clarity and precision.
It offers a substantial 560 watts into 8 ohms and is comfortable driving larger loudspeakers, including those with challenging loads. Now in MkII form, numerous engineering refinements have been made to increase its sonic performance, flexibility and lifespan.
The flagship stereo power amp contains two of our 4kW high-frequency switch-mode power supplies with our unique dynamic coupling techniques. Like its amplification siblings, the technology is complemented by a large bank of energy-storage capacitors that are ‘recharged’ by the power supply, giving the amplifier huge reserves of headroom. Unobtrusive protection circuitry constantly monitors the amplifier status and magnetic current-sensing will shut down the SPM 5000 Mk II in the event of a short circuit.
Balanced and unbalanced connections are available along with two pairs of loudspeaker outputs with gold-plated connections.
